Have students work in teams to make a newspaper theres templates online. This is very versatile for all subjects. You can use it in history where they have to make a newspaper focusing on a specific event. Or use it in English and the newspaper has to be something that would've been published in the story. You could even make a newspaper project about an animal.

This is a great project for 8th graders going into high school it allows them to leave they're mark on the school this doesn't really tie into a subject in school its just really fun for students to do they have freedom to put what they want within guide lines of course. You take the tiles out of the ceiling and let kids paint it and decide where they want their ceiling title to be then u put it back on to the ceiling.
